FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Solano County, CA – Solano County Transit (SolTrans) will implement a service change on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Most of the changes affect the SolanoExpress Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow Lines.

The SolanoExpress Blue Line will transition over to being operated by SolTrans on Monday, August 8, 2022, with a temporarily reduced schedule. The reduced schedule has been planned as to not interrupt morning and afternoon commute service, midday trips were reduced. (Updated August 30, 2022, SolanoExpress Blue Line will remain as scheduled with the “temporarily reduced schedule” due to staffing shortage)The Blue Line service will be expanded on Monday, September 19, 2022. Blue Line riders should use SolTrans.org for information about fares and service alerts.

The SolanoExpress Yellow Line schedule will be adjusted to welcome Solano County’s first All-Electric over-the-road coach. The Yellow Line will now start and end service at SolTrans Curtola Park & Ride Hub to allow for inductive charging between trips. The Vallejo Transit Center is still a stop along the route.

All SolanoExpress Lines will be adjusted to reflect actual travel times due to increased traffic along the I-80 and I-680 corridor in this service change. SolanoExpress schedules were also adjusted in preparation for the BARTs schedule change effective September 2022 to ensure passengers have time to transfer between BART and bus.

SolTrans school trippers Route 15, 17, and 38 have been updated for the new school year. Other minor schedule adjustments were made to local routes 1 and 6 please check updated timetables at SolTrans.org.

SolTrans staff is still closely monitoring travel patterns as people return to work post-pandemic. Service restoration recommendations are encouraged through the Leave a Comment form on SolTrans.org.
