Solano Community College Students

Solano Community College student ride free with their valid student ID. The FREE ride is valid on all SolTrans and FAST local routes and SolanoExpress routes.

To qualify you must present one of the following:

  • Photo ID with birthdate indicating 65+
  • Valid Medicare Card with photo ID
  • Regional Transit Connection (RTC)   Discount Card
  • DMV Disabled License Plate Registration
  • DMV Disabled Parking Placard printout

Senior 80+

All senior 80+ with identification showing birth year can ride all SolTrans and FAST local and SolanoExpress Routes.

SolTrans Fare Terms and Conditions

General Terms & Conditions

All SolTrans paper passes and tickets expire and are not refundable or exchangeable. Passes worn or damaged to the point they are not readable by the farebox may not be accepted. Please do not laminate or punch holes in passes as this will invalidate the pass.

Service Areas

Local Passes: Valid for travel within Vallejo and Benicia on SolTrans Local fixed routes* and local trips on SolanoExpress fixed routes. Extra surcharge for SolanoExpress travel outside Vallejo and Benicia.

Solano County Only Passes: Valid for travel within Solano County on SolanoExpress fixed routes and on SolTrans and FAST (Fairfield and Suisun Transit) Local fixed routes.  Extra surcharge for SolanoExpress travel outside of Solano County.

Outside Solano County Passes: Valid for travel both outside and within Solano County on SolanoExpress fixed routes and SolTrans and FAST Local fixed routes. Extra surcharge on SolanoExpress Route 82 to the San Francisco Ferry terminal and on SolanoExpress Green Express operated by FAST. Green Express passes may be purchased from FAST and are valid on all SolanoExpress lines.

Fare Categories

1. Adult:  Ages 19-64
2. Youth:  Ages 6-18
3. Reduced:  Ages 65 and over, disabled or Medicare recipient. Driver may request to see proof of eligibility:

– Photo ID with birthdate indicating 65+
– Medicare card with photo ID
– Regional Transit Connection (RTC) Discount Card
– DMV Disabled License Plate registration paperwork
– DMV Disabled Parking placard paperwork

Pass Types

31-Day Passes: Valid for unlimited travel on fixed routes for 31 days from first day of use.  Available to Adult and Reduced Fare Categories for all Service Areas.  Youth Fare Category only available for the Local Service Area.

Day Passes: Valid for unlimited travel on fixed routes all day on first day used. May be purchased onboard the bus with exact fare. Available to all Fare Categories for all Service Areas.

Local 10-Ride Pass: Valid for 10 one-way rides (single boarding) on SolTrans fixed routes. Available to all Fare Categories for SolTrans Local Service Area only.

Paratransit 10-Ride Pass: Valid for 10 one-way rides (single boarding) on SolTrans’ ADA Paratransit demand response† service only within SolTrans’ local service area. ADA Paratransit Certification required to ride. Driver may request to see a valid ADA Paratransit ID card.

* Fixed route – Services provided on a repetitive, fixed schedule basis along a specific route with vehicles stopping to pick up and deliver passengers to specific locations; each fixed route trip serves the same origins and destinations.

† Demand response – A transit mode operating in response to calls from passengers to the transit operator, who then dispatches a vehicle to pick up the passengers and transport them to their destinations. The vehicle may be dispatched to pick up several passengers at different pick-up points before taking them to their respective destinations and may be interrupted on route to these destinations to pick up other passengers.

Materials will be provided in the requested accessible format as soon as possible. Requests for documents in screen reader-compatible or large print formats can generally be fulfilled within five business days. Braille or audio formats may take up to several weeks to produce, depending on the availability of braille translation or compliant audio recording services.
