Press Release: SolTrans Extends Youth Ride Free Program for Two More Years

Solano County Transit (SolTrans) Board of Directors approved the extension of the successful Youth Ride Free Pilot Program for an additional two years, allowing youth aged 18 and under to continue riding all SolTrans Local and Solano Express routes for free through June 2027.

SolTrans, in partnership with its operations contractor Transdev, invites the public to join a community park clean-up at Washington Park on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The clean-up will take place at Washington Park, 900 Ohio St, Vallejo, CA 94590.

Benicia Main St is hosting Benicia Waterfront Rocks on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28 from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. at First Street Green.

To kick off the week in style, SolTrans is offering FREE rides on all Local and SolanoExpress routes on Monday, July 7—thanks to the support of Vallejo’s own LaRussell, a rapper and proud community advocate who will covering the cost of all fares for the day.

New Bay Loading Process at Transit Centers

Beginning July 1, 2025, SolTrans is launching a bay loading process at the Vallejo Transit Center, Curtola Park & Ride Hub, and Sereno Transit Center to improve traffic flow, reduce bus delays, and make transfers smoother for riders.
