Mandi Renshaw

NEWS RELEASE
March 25, 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SolTrans will not collect fares on Local, SolanoExpress and Paratransit service until further notice. This is an additional measure we are taking to promote social distancing, adhere to Public Health recommendations that will help “flatten the curve” and reduce the spread of COVID-19, and to protect our riders and drivers. The operator area will be taped off and there will be no access to the farebox or Clipper Card reader.

SolTrans passengers should continue to board through the rear door of the local buses. SolanoExpress bus riders will still board at the front door, the front seats are tapped off in order to adhere to the social distancing mandate. Front door boarding will continue to be reserved for passengers who need assistance via the ramp or priority seating. As a reminder, while boarding and once onboard the bus, please continue to maintain six feet away from the driver and other riders.

SolTrans would like to remind the community to do their part, as well, by staying indoors as much as possible. If you must go out, please make sure it’s for essential reasons. For up-to-the-minute service alerts and schedules visit SolTrans.org, please check our site prior to traveling.

Please continue to refer to Solano County Public health websites for updated information pertaining to the virus. We will continue to provide updates as information is made available to us. Thank you for your patience and your partnership.
