Hi! My name is Ashley Gear and I’m a junior at UC Davis majoring in Landscape Architecture. My goal in life is to create special outdoor spaces that will impact the hearts and minds of those who visit. Within landscape architecture, my interests include landscape restoration, ecology, and horticulture. Other hobbies of mine include hiking, listening to music, and exploring new places. I am super excited to be a part of this project and I look forward to working with the Vallejo community. I hope you all enjoy our bus stop!”

Hello! My name is Katie Wong and I am currently a 3rd-year Landscape Architecture major at UC Davis. I chose this career path because I have always been interested in plants and designing spaces. My goals are to revegetate the land and create spaces where people can appreciate being outdoors. One of my favorite parts of designing is when I am able to bring smiles and comfort to the community with my design. I am very excited about this opportunity and I can’t wait to see what the final product will look like.

The staff has already started demolition of the area by clearing trees and installing a concrete pad. The project is set to be completed summer of 2022 and includes a bus stop with shelter, 2 garden benches, and the rest of the area will be filled with native, drought-resistant, and pollinator landscape (examples of plants below).
