NEWS RELEASE
March 16, 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SolTrans continues to provide as much service as possible in response to COVID-19. All actions taken by the agency will be done with the health and safety of SolTrans riders, drivers, mechanics and employees in mind.

In response to Solano County Public Health’s recommendations on social distancing, SolTrans is asking riders to:

  • Board at the center doors. Those who need assistance from the ramp may board at the front doors but will need to signal the driver.
  • When possible use Token Transit for easy visual fare adherence boarding. We are recommending to not use cash whenever possible.

Additionally, the Health Department continues to recommend:

  • Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Coughing into a tissue or your elbow.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Staying home when you are sick.

In response to these recommendations, SolTrans continues to deep clean buses and Transit Centers daily. SolTrans’ Customer Service is operational and remains open from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays, Vallejo Transit Center Ticket Office is open regular hours Mon – Fri: 5 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sat: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. SolTrans Operation and Maintenance Facility at 1850 Broadway St. Vallejo is closed to the public.
