Press Release: SolTrans August 2023 Service Changes

Solano County, CA - Solano County Transit (SolTrans) will implement a service change on Sunday, August 6, 2023. The service change supports the SolTransBoard Approved Service Realignment recommendations affecting Local Routes and Solano-Express Lines.Local routes will leave the Vallejo Transit Center in Downtown Vallejo to the end of their lines and go out of service back to the operations and maintenance facility.

Press Release: SolTrans Awarded $12.5 Million for Electric Bus Fleet and Charging Infrastructure Expansion

Solano County Transit (SolTrans), a leading public transportation agency serving Solano County is proud to announce that it has been awarded a substantial grant of $12.5 million for the procurement of 14 electric local buses, along with the installation of 11 plug-in chargers and 3 inductive chargers. The grant, provided by Federal Transit Administration through the“Bus and Bus Facilities” grant, will enable SolTrans to further enhance its commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions.

On Thursday, May 18th at the SolTrans Board of Directors meeting, the SolTrans Board approved the following Service Realignment proposals:Local Routes- local routes will leave the Vallejo Transit Center in Downtown Vallejo to the end of the line and go out of service back to the operations and maintenance facility.

Press Release: SolTrans Breaks Ground on Electrification Infrastructure

Solano County, CA- Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. Solano County Transit’s (SolTrans) Board of Directors, with Congressman John Garamendi, and project partners PG&E, WSP, and Patriot Construction will break ground on the construction of the Electrification Infrastructure at the SolTrans Operations and Maintenance Facility in Vallejo, CA. This groundbreaking kicks off the agency’s plan to transition to all 100% zero-emission buses.
