SolTrans Launches New Mobile Pay and Digital Parking Permits with Passport

Press Release: SolTrans Launches New Parking App

Vallejo, CA – On May 1, 2019, Solano County Transit (SolTrans) users of the Curtola Park and Ride Hub can pay for daily and short-term parking using a mobile smartphone by downloading the free Parking app Passport Mobile. The app is available on IOS or Android smartphones. The new application will allow customers to purchase permits for short-term parking or to sign up for a monthly parking permit. Monthly permits can be applied for online at also powered by Passport. SolTrans riders have the option of a daily, short term or monthly permit, providing flexibility based on the users’ travel plans. The smartphone Passport Mobil app allows users to:

  • Monitor parking sessions electronically
  • Receive notifications for parking sessions ending soon
  • Extend parking sessions remotely
  • View payment history
  • Receive email receipts

Users who currently use ParkMobile can still purchase monthly permits until Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Parkmobil Monthly permits will no longer be valid after Friday, May 31, 2019. Daily ParkMobile passes can be purchased and are valid until Tuesday, April 30, 2019. “Our ultimate goal at SolTrans is to provide people with a safe and reliable way to travel throughout our community and a seamless parking operation is a key part of that,” said Patricia Carr, general services manager at SolTrans. “With Passport, we can provide our customers with an easy and flexible solution to pay for parking so they can continue on to the next leg of their journey.”
