SolTrans Service Reduction Through May 1

Vallejo, CA – In response to Solano County Department of Public Health’s extended social distancing order through May 1, 2020, SolTrans will continue to provide Saturday service on weekdays for all Local, SolanoExpress and Paratransit service. The following routes will not operate during the service reduction: Route 12, 15, 17, 38 and 82. The public is encouraged to stay at home at this time and only use transit for essential or lifeline services.

In addition, SolTrans Customer Service and Ticket office will be open during the following hours:

  • Customer Service: Available weekdays 8 am – 5 pm
  • Vallejo Transit Center Ticket Office: Open weekdays 8:30 am – 4 pm
  • Curtola Park and Ride Ticket Office: Closed
  • SolTrans Operation and Maintenance Facility: Closed

Drivers may enforce reduced capacity on the buses for the safety of other riders. Customers showing flu-like symptoms may be denied boarding, to safeguard the health of our operators and other riders. All actions taken by the agency are done with the health and safety of SolTrans riders, operators, mechanics and employees in mind.

When riding we continue to ask riders to:

  • Stay six feet apart from the bus operators and fellow riders while boarding and riding the bus.
  • Board at the rear doors on local buses. Those who need assistance from the ramp may board at the front doors, please signal the operator

Fare collection on Local, SolanoExpress and Paratransit services remains suspended, in order to maintain a safe distance from our operators. Additionally, SolTrans continues to take extra measures to deep clean buses and Transit Centers daily, while closely monitoring the COVID-19 response from public health authorities.

Solano County Transit (SolTrans) has been the public transportation provider for south Solano County since July 2011. SolTrans provides local and SolanoExpress fixed routes, complementary paratransit, and subsidized Lyft programs. The agency is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) that is governed by a six-member Board of Directors, composed of two representatives from the cities of Benicia and Vallejo, Solano County’s representative on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), and a representative from the Solano Transportation Authority.
