SolTrans Postpones December Service Changes

Vallejo, CA – Solano County Transit (SolTrans) has postponed our annual December Service Change from Sunday, December 5 to Sunday, December 19, 2021. Staff needed more time to adjust for the staffing shortage currently impacting service. The December 19 service change will include route and/or schedule modifications to Routes 3, 7A, 7B, 8, 82, and the SolanoExpress Red Line.

As the Magazine Street Bridge has now reopened:

  • Route 3 Eastbound will no longer detour after Curtola Park and Ride Hub and will resume service in the Beverly Hills area. Route 3 service to the stop at Magazine & Gary Circle (Stop ID 822085) will also resume.
  • The Route 8 Eastbound detour along Fulton Ave and Magazine Street will no longer be in effect, and Route 3 will resume providing service in these areas. Route 8 will continue to serve Glen Cove, however it will still experience minor delays due to the construction on the Benicia Rd Bridge, due to complete in early 2022.

The Route 82 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. pilot/demonstration loops connecting the Vallejo Transit Center with the San Francisco ferry building will be suspended indefinitely due to the ongoing driver shortage. Other minor timing adjustments were made to routes 7A, 7B, and the Red Line. Please check updated timetables at SolTrans.org.

The Route 82 fare will also be reduced by 40%, starting Monday, December 6. The new lower fare for the Route 82 will be $6 for adults, $5 for youth, and $3 for senior/disabled/Medicare discount-eligible riders.

SolTrans has lifted all on-board capacity restrictions on all service modes, in accordance with guidance from the CDC, California DPH, and Solano County Public Health authorities. Face masks are still required by federal law on all planes, buses, trains & all other forms of public transportation.

Update service schedules affecting all routes postponed to Sunday. December 19, 2021
