Board-Approved Service Realignment Recommendations

Effective Sunday, August 6, 2023

Local Routes- local routes will leave the Vallejo Transit Center in Downtown Vallejo to the end of the line and go out of service back to the operations and maintenance facility.  

Yellow Line – during unproductive service time in the early morning and late evening service will decrease to 90-minute headways, and productive service trips will be preserved mid-day. The last trip on Sunday nights will be discontinued.

Green Line – eliminate last evening trips to Amtrak.

Blue Line – Service to Sacramento and Vaca Valley stops will discontinue. The Davis campus stop will move to the Mondavi Center for better connections to Yolo Bus and Unitrans.

Staff is working on transit alternatives for Sacramento-bound riders in the form of:

• Trip planning with riders to transfer to Sacramento Regional Transit Routes
• a subsidized pass with Capitol Corridor, in partnership with Solano Mobility and Solano Transportation Authority
• coordinating and funding a carpool/vanpool
• funding the expansion of subsidized programs in partnership with Solano Mobility to connect riders with alternative transportation options outside SolanoExpress hours of operation.

Route 82- Service to San Francisco will be expanded to two-morning trips and two evening trips. The Route will adjust to begin at the Fairfield Transportation Center. The route will now bypass El Cerrito del Norte BART.

Staff will begin outreach on service alternatives in late June to all riders.

Specific route schedules will be available in early July 2023 on the SolTrans.org website. These Service Realignment schedules will go into service on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
