Baseball season is in full swing and our local major league teams have several upcoming home games and regardless of whether you’re an avid fan are just looking for a fun night out, we can help you get there. Taking public transportation to the game can save you time and money since you will be able to avoid the likely high levels of traffic, multiple bridge tolls and expensive parking in Oakland or San Francisco.

The Athletics have eight more home games in July facing off against the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and Milwaukee Brewers and twelve home games in August during which they will play against the Giants on the 24th and 25th. To get to any A’s game at the RingCentral Coliseum (formerly Oakland Coliseum) you can take the Red Line from the Vallejo Transit Center (VTC) to El Cerrito del Norte BART then transfer onto a Warm Springs/South Fremont or Dublin/Pleasanton BART to the Coliseum station. In addition, here is the official A’s schedule for ease of reference.

Now, for you Giants fans out there, the orange and black team has seven more home games in July against the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs and fourteen home games in August when the two Bay Area teams will compete in Oracle Park (formerly AT&T Park) on the 13th and 14th. The cheapest way to get to Oracle Park is to take the Red Line to El Cerrito del Norte BART, transfer onto the Millbrae BART to the Embarcadero station and transfer onto an eastbound SFMTA N to the park. However, for a more straightforward, relaxing and scenic journey across the Bay, we recommend taking the San Francisco Bay Ferry to see the Giants play; for weekend and weekday daytime games the ferry will even take you directly to Oracle Park. For ease of reference, here is the ferry service schedule along with the Giant’s schedule.

Also be sure to support our local team, the Vallejo Admirals. Their home games are played at Wilson Park; buy your tickets in advance. The stop closest to the park is Benicia Rd & Rice St which is served by Route 8.
