Meet the Team: Rose Llewellyn

Rose Llewellyn’s journey with SolTrans began three years ago, marking a new chapter in her life after dedicating thirty years to her family as a wife, mother, and homemaker. Once her children were grown, Rose seized the chance to pursue a new career. She returned to school and earned her associate degree from Solano Community College. Despite facing challenges in finding a new career later in life, Rose persevered in her job hunt. At the time, her son, a road supervisor at TransDev (SolTrans’ contractor to provide transit services), encouraged her to join the team.

Embracing the job with enthusiasm, Rose became a customer service representative. Every day, she engages with the public, whether at the Vallejo Transit Center Ticket Office or over the phone, and she cherishes every interaction. As a native of El Salvador and bilingual communicator, she connects effortlessly with the Spanish-speaking community members which broadens her impact.

Rose’s dedication to customer service is unparalleled. She takes immense pride in ensuring each person she assists has an exceptional experience. Her primary focus is helping older paratransit riders reach their doctors’ appointments and run their errands. She is so engaged with her customers that she can often recognize riders just by their voice, knowing exactly what they need when they call.

Rose’s story is a glowing example of the good that can come from resilience of character and the joy that can be found in serving others. Her presence at SolTrans not only enriches the community, but also exemplifies the heart and soul of exceptional customer service. Rose looks forward to helping you the next time you have a question about public transit in Benicia, Vallejo, Solano County, and beyond.
